Life at UCB through the eyes of our student bloggers

AWF Volunteer Life

Hola chicas & chicos!

I’ve had the most amazing week so far here in Tenerife! I’m not going to go into too much detail at the moment about what all of the AWF volunteers/ UCB students have been up to, but this week has been incredible and I thought I’d share a few pictures with you! The wifi isn’t great here so I’m going to keep this post short ‘n sweet.

I’m sure all of us volunteers would agree how lucky we are for having this opportunity to experience soo much in such a short amount of time. Tenerife is stunning, with so much to offer! So, here is a little bit of what we’ve been up to this week!

Snorkelling with turtles!

We’ve done some incredible familiarisation trips, taking part in activities such as snorkelling with turtles, tree-top adventures, hiking mountains and visiting World Heritage Sites. It really has been incredible!

This week has been life changing, I’m sure for a lot of us. I’ll be posting soon about a few things I’ve learnt during this trip, including sustainability and the issues that affect marine life. These are areas I’m extremely passionate about, and have only been further influenced by this experience.

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week, not long now until the new semester starts!

D x
