How-to: Make my three favourite autumn drinks

How-to: Make my three favourite autumn drinks

While I am a massive Starbucks and Costa lover, things can get a little expensive if you go there too often. I wanted to show you guys how you can save some money and create my top three favourite drinks at home.

Seasonal Coffee

So I have a coffee machine with a steamer, but you could definitely get the same effect by heating your milk on a hob and using a cafetiere or a percolator, so not to worry if you don’t have a machine!

I am using this brand of coffee which I have shown in some of my other blogs.

This is everything you’ll need:

  • Ground seasonal coffee
  • Milk
  • Milk steaming jug
  • A coffee machine, cafetiere or percolator
  • Chocolate powder to finish

I start by preparing my shot of coffee. I like mine strong so I’m doing a double shot.

Make sure to always stamp your coffee down before putting it into the machine!

Once you have your shot go ahead and steam your milk. You want to fill your jug to the bottom of the dip as shown.

And then pour that into your cup!

Add chocolate powder to finish and that’s it!

Chai Latte

Everything you will need:

  • Chai powder
  • Milk
  • Milk steaming jug
  • Cinnamon powder to finish

Fill your milk steaming jug to just below the dip as shown in the picture.

Add your chai powder. No need to stir! The steam should mix everything for you.

Your latte should have a little foam on the top, but you can make it to your preference.

Add cinnamon powder to finish and voila!

“Baileys” Hot Chocolate

We are not using real Baileys because, come on, we are students here. I got my fake Baileys from Aldi.

What you will need:

  • Baileys (or a fake version)
  • Milk
  • Milk steaming jug
  • Chocolate powder
  • Shot glass

Use the same amount of milk as we have in the last two recipes. (To the bottom of the dip.)

Add your shot of Bailey’s (or fake equivalent).

Add in your chocolate powder! Again, no need to stir your steamer should do that for you.

Pour your hot chocolate into a tall glass or your favourite mug and add chocolate powder to finish!

And that’s it! Those are my favourite hot drinks and how to make them at home. I hope you enjoyed and let me know if you decide to make any of these yourself.

Ya girl,

Jade x
