Christmas Treats Pt. 2

Christmas Treats Pt. 2

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and getting into the Christmas spirit!

Around this time last year, I wrote a blog post showing you how to make some Christmas treats! I really enjoy baking, but I never do it as much as I’d like. So, for this week’s blog I am going to do something similar and show you how I made Christmas tree brownies!

Okay, now I did cheat a little and use a packet mix, but I’m a student who didn’t want to buy lots of baking bits when I am not going to use them often. However, it worked just as well and tasted AMAZING!!

  • Brownie mix
  • Matchmakers chocolates
  • X1 egg
  • Vegetable oil
  • Water
  • Decorations – icing pens, sprinkles

Step 1 – Place the mix into a mixing bowl.

Step 2 – Add the egg.

Step 3 – Add the water and the vegetable oil.

Step 4 – Stir the mixture together until smooth.

Step 5 – Grease a baking tray to ensure the mixture doesn’t stick.

Step 6 – Spread the mixture into the tray evenly.

Step 7 – Place in the centre of the oven (180 degrees) for 20-25 minutes.

Step 8 – Ensure the mixture is fully cooked by placing a knife in the centre (if the mixture comes out on the knife then place it back in the oven until cooked.) Then leave it to cool.

Step 9 – Cut it into triangles.

Step 10 – Decorate in a Christmas tree-like fashion, place a matchmaker in the bottom to resemble the trunk.

I hope you enjoyed this post, happy baking!
