Tapas at Ocho, Jewellery Quarter

Tapas at Ocho, Jewellery Quarter

I recently paid a visit to the tapas restaurant in the Jewellery Quarter called Ocho. I’d wanted to visit since it opened, but after seeing ‘50% off on Wednesdays’ on one of their Instagram posts, I thought it was definitely time!

Firstly, 50% off is massive! It took my bill for two people including drinks from over £50 to £20-something and for everything we received it was definitely value for money.

Ocho is a little hole in the wall situated next to their sister restaurant Rebel Chicken (just across from the graveyard in JQ.) To sum it up, it’s a tiny casual eatery with a short menu of sharing tapas dishes and super service!

We went a bit pork mad, ordering the pork belly, pork meatballs and pork cheek as well as the squid, prawns, potatoes and bread! Plenty for two people and, like I say, all that for just over £20! The offer is currently on but is only redeemable when booked so don’t forget to make a reservation before you go!

My favourite dish was the prawns which were served marinated on top of a fennel and spinach salad and also made quite a good accompaniment to the rest of the protein that we had going on! And my favourite out of the pork dishes was the cheek which was perfectly cooked and just fell apart beautifully!

For more information on deals have a look on their Instagram account @ocho_jq or check out their website to have a look at their menu! I pop some photos on my foodie account @misffood on Instagram alongside some other deals so keep a look out!
