I found a great little restaurant near New Street Station on Lower Severn St called Bonehead. They specialise in chicken wings and dirty burgers and it’s brilliant!
If you leave the station at the exit nearest Krispy Kreme downstairs, the restaurant is located a short five minute walk away. Other little spots in the same area include BrewDog, Cherry Reds and Turtle Bay so it’s great for either grabbing a quick few chicken wings or staying in the area for some drinks.
We were catching the train back to Lincolnshire for the weekend, so time was limited and we couldn’t go crazy on the burgers and ended up just ordering two lots of wings and waffle fries. I hear a lot of good things about the ‘Bonehead Burger’ and ‘Bonehead Original Strips,’ and if you don’t believe me head to their Instagram page @boneheadbham to see these treats for yourself. But we went for the original wings (on the left) and the sweet chilli and garlic wings (on the right).
The atmosphere is very casual and quirky, with minimal interior both upstairs and downstairs. It’s only a little place and very popular so gets full up quickly during busy times during the weekend etc… save yourself and go midweek outside of lunch and dinner times.
