Hello, hello, hello, everyoneee!!!! How was your Christmas holiday?? I hope you all had a lovely break, and you are ready to start the new year with a big smile.
For those of you handing in assignments, I hope it’s going well and hopefully you are not so stressed out. I finally hand in my last one of last semester and I am finally free of stress.
This week I would like to tell you about my New Year’s experience. This year has been my first New Year’s Eve spent without my family. I normally spend it with my whole family, we have dinner, eat 12 grapes for the count down and then go to a party. It was a hard decision to make, mainly because of my grandparents who are quite old, however I really wanted to make a change and get to experience other traditions.
I spent my New Year’s Eve in a thermal pool in the mountains in Poland. It wasn’t just a relaxing thing, the pool had indoor and outdoor areas with bars inside the pool to order any drinks you liked. Also, there were some areas that had slides and many different hot tubs. There was an area I stayed most of the time which was a club with all type of music from Reggaeton to Polish music and English.
There the tradition is to count down and then celebrate with champagne. I didn’t miss the grapes that much after all because I was experiencing so many things that I didn’t even imagine. I saw the fireworks in the sky from the pool, then there were different shows that you could watch from the pool as well, like a fire show and ice sculptures. It was a wow experience – if you ever have the opportunity it is worth it, I promise.
It was a dream come true. What I experienced there is difficult to explain in words, but I am going to leave you some pictures which will say more than words.
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. For this year I wish you all achieve your goals and all your wishes come true. Happy New Year to all!!!
