The entire world seems to be in a frenzy. We are living in some tough times right now unfortunately and I hope that whoever is reading this is doing well.
Yes, coronavirus has started to affect our normal lives now. In times like these, we need to remember not to panic. The media is constantly terrifying us with news and creating panic. The main thing to remember is to keep yourself clean by washing your hands and avoid meeting people or going to crowded places as much as possible.
As a student living in Birmingham it can be quite difficult to know what to do, especially when our social media is filled with memes and scary news articles, and when you live by yourself. The statistics show that this virus affects older people more than the younger generation, but this does not mean that you are completely safe.
It may be necessary that you isolate yourself because even if you aren’t sick, you might still be carrying the virus and have chances of spreading it to people who have lower immunity and make them sick. This is the time in our lives where we cannot be selfish – if someone is sick, try to help them the best you can but at a safe distance.
Given how most countries are entering quarantine, I suggest you start stocking (not hoarding) on basic food items that will last you long. I know that things seem scary now, but don’t worry. Just follow the basic precautions of washing your hands for 20 secs, keeping a safe distance from people and just follow the instructions provided on the government website.
This is a good time to sit at home and complete all the things on your Netflix list and stay calm. Don’t forget guys, keep yourself safe and take care.
