Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well!
This week I thought I’d share a list of my favourite TedTalks with you, as mentioned in my previous post Why I love early mornings. One of the reasons is that I have time to listen to different TedTalks that give me motivation and inspiration for the day!
Here is a list of a few TedTalks that I personally really like, so I hope you will like some of them, too!
1. How to stay calm when you know you’ll be stressed | Daniel Levitin
You’re not at your best when you’re stressed. Neuroscientist Daniel Levitin thinks there’s a way to avoid making critical mistakes in stressful situations, when your thinking becomes clouded — the pre-mortem. “We all are going to fail now and then,” he says. “The idea is to think ahead to what those failures might be.”
2. Removing negative self-talk | Abria Joseph
What are the words you choose? Do they give you power, or fill your future with negative energy? In this talk, Abria helps us become aware of how to be present and mindful in both thought and action in order to actualise dreams and live in positivity.
3. If you want to achieve your goals, don’t focus on them | Reggie Rivers
Former Denver Broncos running back Reggie Rivers discusses how focusing on your goals is the one sure way NOT to achieve them. Focusing on your behaviors is how you achieve your goals! Absolutely loved this one.
4. Self-Love, be intentional | Caitlyn Roux
“I knew I had the strength to move on. I just didn’t know how strong I was.”
5. The psychology of self-motivation | Scott Geller
Can you do it? Do you believe it will work? Is it worth it?
6. How to eliminate self-doubt forever and the power of your unconscious mind | Peter Sage
Why do seemingly intelligent people procrastinate? Are there really hidden patterns and belief systems within us that conspire against our best intentions? In this talk, human behaviour expert, Peter Sage, exposes some of the hidden reasons and unconscious patterns that cause us to self-sabotage and explains what we can do to change them.
Here are the top 6 TedTalks I’ve listened to so far!! Let me know if you like them in the comments section. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
