Life at UCB through the eyes of our student bloggers

The End of an Era

The End of an Era

Hi and Happy Wednesday!

I hope you’re all okay and looking after yourselves.

As I’m writing this blog post my final deadline for University College Birmingham is tomorrow (eek). I’m on track to submit both of my final assignments tomorrow and it feels extremely surreal right about now.

Yesterday I had my last proper online lecture (shoutout to Caroline, Jo, Rich and Graham, who were on the lecture and for being so amazing over the past 3-5 years, helping us all each step of the way).

Although this lecture seemed so surreal yesterday as it was the last one I’ll have at the University, I am looking forward to the future and what this holds for me and my pals. University College Birmingham has been so good to me over the past 5 years and it feels like I’m moving house or something – 5 years seems like a lifetime!

Don’t get me wrong, my time at university hasn’t all been sunshine and rainbows – they’ve put us through it, the work is not easy by any means, but that’s what makes it all worth it. I am very excited to get these final assignments behind me, however, it is quite bittersweet and feels quite sad that I won’t be writing another assignment for the University.

What I’m trying to say is my time here has been nothing short of fantastic and I kind of wish I could relive the last 5 years all over again. So if you’re about to start at University College Birmingham, be excited, look forward to new beginnings and new adventures. But if you’re already at the University, please make the most of your time here because let me tell you, you’ll certainly miss it when you’re gone.

Wish me luck for my final submissions and I’m sending all my very best to you lovely lot!

See you next week,

Amelia 🙂
