I thought I’d take this blog post to catch you all up with what I’m up to now Christmas is over. I say Christmas is over, it wasn’t really over until New Year for me! Having divorced parents means Christmas is always prolonged for me. I’m definitely not complaining!
I hope you all had a good Christmas? I got so many nice presents: perfume, make-up, Air Force and all things girly. I feel truly spoilt and lucky. Now I’m getting older, I am understanding why people say they prefer giving presents rather than receiving them because watching my Mum open her pressies was the highlight of my Christmas Day – that and the food, of course!
Everyone always complains that January is a rubbish month. I understand. The weather is shocking, it’s dark and the post-Christmas blues are in full swing. Unlike a lot of people though, my birthday is in January! The last day of January to be precise, so I don’t find January quite as bad as a lot of people.
I’m going to take this blog as an opportunity to ask you all for a favour, actually! Could you let me know what you got for Christmas? People are already asking me what I want for my birthday, and I have no idea, so I need some inspiration! Comment down below what you got given. Although it’s stressful thinking of things to ask for, I understand it’s a very good and fortunate problem to have!
What did you all do for New Year’s? I went to a big house party with my boyfriend and housemates. I’m just grateful I got to spend Christmas with family, to be honest. I’m seeing this New Year’s as a new start – I know it’s very cliché, but I had a very unhealthy and lazy 2021 due to lockdown and stuff. So I’m going to use the New Year to start again, eat healthy, get outdoors, and go to the gym more! Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
