I want to start off by saying happy Easter holidays! I don’t know about you, but I really need these two weeks off! I have had a mental few weeks full of interviews and the deadline for my dissertation! However, now my interviews are done, and I have handed my dissertation in, I feel like I can relax a bit more!
I am happy to announce that I have been accepted onto my first choice for my teacher training, so I’m really happy about that. Although I will be relaxing much more now, I do still have assignments due after Easter. So, I thought I would take today’s blog to run you through a day in my life – Easter break edition.
Today I woke up at 11am – big lie-in, I know! But I’m one for a lie-in and I figured I should enjoy the lazy mornings while I can. I then went to the gym with my boyfriend and it was leg day – safe to say I can’t walk now.
When I got home, I made some breakfast, I just had some porridge with a little bit of maple syrup because I really wasn’t in the mood to cook. I say ‘breakfast’ but it was more like lunch, it was 1pm!
After that, I spent two hours working on a report I have due after Easter and then I felt hungry again! I wish I could say I got a lot done in those two hours, but I was just researching books to reference – the most tedious part of a report in my opinion! I decided to go out for lunch. I walked to Café Nero in Brindleyplace and got a ham and cheese toastie and a latte.
Once I got home it was already 5pm! I drove to Tesco to get some groceries and came home and tided the kitchen. It was a mess because we had a party the night before! My boyfriend and I then went to the cinema to see The Batman, it was really good but so long!
After the cinema, we made a fry-up for dinner. Nothing beats breakfast food in the evening. I had eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, mushrooms and hash browns – yum! Then suddenly it was 11pm so I got into bed, watched a couple of episodes of Bridgerton and fell asleep. Day well spent if you ask me!
