Not only is this the last blog I will be writing as a UCBlogger, but it is also the end of my time at University College Birmingham.
My three years here have been amazing, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. If you’re considering studying here, I would 100% recommend it. The University is great, all my lecturers were really supportive, and the opportunities are endless.
I stayed at The Maltings during my first year, which I really suggest doing if you’re coming to study here – it’s a great way to make friends, it’s so much fun and throws you into uni life.
Some advice for my fellow and future UCB students: make the most of what the University has to offer! There are so many services that the uni offers for free! Hired helped me to find work experience and a job, and they also helped me with my CV and interview prep. DICE are really helpful with all the technical stuff that I don’t understand, and the wellbeing services helped me when I was feeling low.
University College Birmingham also offer great trips, assignment workshops and career events which I really suggest you go to – they’re all part of the uni experience and are often great fun.
I’m going to keep this blog short and sweet as I really just wanted to say goodbye, so goodbye! Make the most of your time at uni because, as it has for me, it’ll go super quickly.
I can’t believe my time here is over already. I’ve had a blast!
